Bianca M. Wisdom, MA, LMHC, Psychotherapist
Life can feel overwhelming—whether you’re navigating anxiety or depression, struggling in relationships, or moving through a major transition. My role is to offer a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to face those challenges alone.
I specialize in working with clients from Black, Brown, LGBTQIA+, and other communities, providing culturally attuned care that is collaborative and responsive to your unique needs. I focus on helping you feel grounded, connected, and equipped to meet life with greater resilience. I believe healing unfolds across every part of life—work, relationships, community, and your inner world—and I’m here to support you with compassion, encouragement, and grace.
Clients often seek me out in moments of challenge and change: a new job, a breakup, identity exploration, or the desire to reconnect with themselves. While I often draw from a cognitive-behavioral framework, I tailor my approach to your unique needs—always with flexibility, cultural sensitivity, and care.
In our sessions, you can expect warmth, curiosity, and even a touch of playfulness, always grounded in the work that matters most to you. My goal is for you to leave therapy feeling safe, empowered, and equipped with tools that help you not only cope but truly thrive.
I hold a Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from St. John’s University. Throughout my training and practice, I’ve deepened a multicultural perspective that allows me to connect with people from all walks of life—an approach that shapes the empathy and care I bring to every client relationship.
I welcome your inquiry: feel free to book a brief consultation or a session now.
In Bianca’s Words
How do you take a collaborative approach to supporting a client?
Taking a collaborative approach in therapy means actively involving clients in their journey. Establishing trust and creating a safe environment for the client to feel comfortable enough to share openly is crucial. Together, we will set achievable goals that reflect their values, and I’ll prioritize active listening to understand their perspective. By inviting feedback and encouraging self-exploration, clients become empowered to actively participate in their growth.
What do you enjoy most about working with your clients?
What I enjoy most about working with my clients in therapy is seeing how intentional and involved they are in their therapeutic journey. It is incredibly rewarding to witness their commitment to personal growth and to be part of their process as they navigate challenges and celebrate successes. Their dedication and engagement make each session meaningful and impactful, and it is a privilege to support them along the way.
